Barings Core Fund Keel Operating Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from Graving Dock at Kings Parade, Liverpool at National Grid References SJ 34460 88973 and SJ 34462 88974.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 68 litres per second
  • 245 cubic metres an hour
  • 5,800 cubic metres a day
  • 2,117,000 cubic metres a year
  • All year.

The water will be used for heating. The abstracted water will be discharged back into Queen’s Dock at National Grid Reference SJ 34454 88909.
