Bamford Property Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from an inland water known as the South Lake at JCB World Headquarters, Rocester, Staffordshire at National Grid Reference (NGR) SK 10026 38647.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 41 cubic metres an hour
  • 977 cubic metres a day
  • 42,348 cubic metres a year

All year round.

The water will be stored in an irrigation pond for subsequent use for spray irrigation of a golf course.
