Details of the application

Ballymore Construction Services Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from 12 boreholes at Kempton Park Gravels between National Grid References (NGR) TQ 39312 80865, TQ 39286 80829, TQ 39445 80766 and TQ 39454 80805.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 180 cubic metres an hour
  • 4,320 cubic metres a day
  • 907,200 cubic metres a year
  • between 01 March 2019 and 31 December 2019 inclusive.

The water will be used for the purpose of dewatering and then will be transferred to the River Lee at NGR TQ 39472 80816 without intervening use.
