B J Rutterford & Partners has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number AN/033/0039/018 which authorises the abstraction of water from April to October inclusive for the purpose of spray irrigation. Abstraction is from un-named drains within the Lakenheath, Burnt Fen and Mildenhall Internal Drainage Boards areas at Mildenhall and Lakenheath, Suffolk.

The variation applied for is: to increase annual quantities only. The existing licenced quantities are 55.12 cubic metres per hour, 551.20 cubic metres per day, 34,634 cubic metres per year at an instantaneous rate not exceeding 15.32 litres per second for the purpose of spray irrigation. This variation is to increase annual quantities only to 59,634 cubic metres per year.

This application is a result of a water rights trade and revocation of licence serial number 6/33/46/*S/0164/R01.
