Details of the application
Avove Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to abstract water from underground strata from two separate areas within National Grid Reference (NGR) SK 54 47 and transfer it to two surface water points at NGR SK 54 47 without intervening use.
The application is to abstract water as follows:

144 cubic metres an hour

3,456 cubic metres a day

521,856 cubic metres a year
Abstraction will take place all year for the purpose of dewatering groundwater.
