The main objective of the Automated Identification Management System (AIMS) is to improve the management of Biometric Information Records (BIRs).

The intellectual property (IP) of this technology is owned by the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) and is available to organisations under the Easy Access IP scheme.
