Acquisition Safety and Environmental Management System (ASEMS) audit tools.
The complete audit procedures document contains sections 8 and 9 of the POSMS and POEMS manuals, procedures AAP1-4, and the relevant forms and guidance.
The audit questions given at Annex B below will be used by Defence Equipment & Support for audit of integrated project teams (IPTs). They may also be used by IPTs themselves for internal audit.
The audit programme below has been produced in conjunction with the individual safety management offices of the DG SE system groups to assist IPTs with programme planning, and is correct at the time of publication. The programme shows in general, the month in which an IPT can expect to be audited. The actual date will be finalised by agreement between the IPT and the lead auditor and may not reflect what is shown in the programme. Any queries regarding detailed programming should be directed at the relevant safety management office. A review of the programme will take place towards the end of each calendar year, to provide a revised version for the following financial year.
