The purpose of this circular letter is to provide information on changes the department is making to Approved Inspector oversight arrangements, the criteria for schemes of insurance for Approved Inspectors pursuant to Section 47(6) of the Building Act 1984, and new guidelines for the schemes of insurance.
The guidance in this circular letter applies to buildings and building work in England.
