Details

The following evidential breath alcohol test instruments have been approved by the Home Office:

  • CAMIC Datamaster, Intoximeter EC/IR v5.23, Lion Intoxilyser 6000UK, approved for evidential breath alcohol analysis in England, Wales and Scotland on 1 June 2005

  • Intoximeter EC/IR v5.40, approved for evidential breath alcohol analysis in Scotland on 14 August 2014

  • Datamaster, Intoximeter EC/IR v5.23, Lion Intoxilyser 6000UK approved for evidential breath alcohol analysis in England and Wales on 5 December 2017 - this removed legislation on the Railways and Transport Safety Act 2003 to reflect decrease in the maritime alcohol limit

  • Lion Intoxilyser 6000UK software version 2.34, with the modified CAMIC Gas Delivery System and the CAMIC Datamaster Cabinet approved for evidential breath alcohol analysis on 14 April 2020
