This report was commissioned by the Department for Education (DfE) to explore potential approaches to developing the EdTech impact testbed with the aim of testing EdTech in schools and colleges to generate evidence of impact.
It presents an overview of existing EdTech testbeds in education settings and a range of possible design approaches to meet set objectives and priorities. It also outlines the benefits and trade-offs of selecting different education outcomes and school-based tasks to test.
The research was conducted by the Open Innovation Team (OIT).
