Details

Following the publication of the better connected strategy, the Department for Transport (DfT) has made £30 million of grant funding available to pre-selected local transport authorities (LTAs) to develop integrated transport digital twin (ITDT) trials.

The trials will help achieve the commitment of the better connected strategy for using digital twins and innovative technologies to provide locally-led integrated transport that is safe, accessible and resilient.

The ITDT fund provides grant funding to equip local areas with tools to plan, test and manage transport systems more intelligently.

Funding forms part of the ITDT programme, which aims to improve integration, resilience and operational performance across transport networks in England.

This guidance explains the application process for eligible authorities and the available support.
