  1. Updated to focus specifically on the ACS application forms. We have moved the other attachments (such as the ACS self-assessment workbook and the ACS payment slip) to their own dedicated pages.

  2. Removed file attachments 'Get Approved' and 'Get Approved Clarifications', and their details from the 'Body' section, as these are now published on their own page.

  3. Replaced the ACS application form with an updated version.

  4. Replaced the following documents with updated versions: 'ACS Self-Assessment Workbook Guide' and 'ACS Application Form'. Also added a new HTML document, '2025 update to the ACS Self-Assessment Workbook'.

  5. Replaced the 'ACS payment slip' with a newer version.

  6. Replaced the following documents with updated version: 'Get Approved', 'Get Approved Clarifications', 'ACS Self-Assessment Workbook', 'ACS Self-Assessment Workbook Guide' and 'ACS Application Form'. Added new document ' ACS Self-Assessment Report'.

  7. Replaced the following documents with the correct versions: 'Get Approved', 'Get Approved Clarifications' , 'ACS Self-Assessment Workbook' and 'ACS Self-Assessment Workbook Guide'. Removed document ' ACS Self-Assessment Workbook Report'.

Details

Our Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) is a quality assurance scheme for the private security industry. We approve private security companies.

Use the ‘ACS application form’ if you are not an approved contractor and you wish to become one.

Use the ‘ACS continuation of approval’ form if you are an approved contractor and you wish to provide your annual return, renew your approval or extend the scope of your approval to include another sector.
