The government commenced the provisions in Chapter 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 on 1 October 2012. The Home Office has received applications for 146 offences from 122 individuals seeking to have their historical convictions or cautions disregarded under these provisions. Of those applications processed to date 40 were eligible for disregarding.
