You can now apply online. The online form will ask questions that are relevant to you based on the information you enter. You can edit and download the application before it is submitted.

Use ‘Form TD112 BRP’ if you need to travel outside the UK but can’t use a passport issued by your own country.

You can use this form if you are in the UK and you:

  • are a refugee applying for a ‘convention travel document’
  • are stateless and applying for a ‘stateless person’s document’
  • are a citizen of any country applying for a ‘one-way document’
  • have been refused a passport by your own country and are applying for a ‘certificate of travel’

Read the ‘guidance notes’ before you apply.

The travel document application form has been updated to version 04/2017. The version number can be found at the top of page 1. Please make sure you use version 04/2017 or your application will be rejected. Applicants who have already submitted applications using earlier versions of the form do not need to submit a new form.
