The 70th annual report by the Reviewing Committee on the Export of Works of Art and Objects of Cultural Interest. The report covers the period 1 May 2024 to 30 April 2025, in which 20 cases were considered by the Reviewing Committee. In 18 cases, a decision on the export licence application was deferred by the Secretary of State following the recommendation of the Committee on the basis that the item qualified as a national treasure. Two items were found not to meet the criteria for national treasure status.

  • Early Anglo Saxon Gold and Garnet Cloisonné Panel, trapezoidal form

9 items were or can be exported.

3 were still under deferral at the time of writing this report.
