This updated code of practice (December 2017) sets out the good practice principles underpinning the management, responsibilities and activity of the Animals in Science Committee (ASC).

It outlines:

  • the remit of the ASC
  • the responsibilities of individuals
  • the appointment process
  • the working protocol between the Home Secretary and the ASC

The report also provides guidance on expenses for office holders and committee members, this supersedes the previous document published.
