Anglian Water Services Limited: application made to abstract water

Anglian Water Services Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number AN/033/0044/021/R02 which authorises the abstraction of water from groundwater in Norfolk at National Grid Reference (NGR) TL 95 83.
The application is for an additional groundwater abstraction point in Norfolk at NGR TL 95 82.
The current licence authorises the following aggregate quantities:
- 188 cubic metres an hour
- 4,500 cubic metres a day
- 1,200,000 cubic metres a year
There is no change to these authorised quantities under this proposal and water shall continue to be used all year for the purpose of public water supply.
