Details of the application
Anglian Water Services Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The following new application has been made to vary an existing licence. The application is to abstract water from Underground strata at National Grid Reference (NGR) TG 20 27.
The existing abstraction authorises 750,000 cubic metres per year (2,500 cubic metres per day) all year for public water supply and 75,000 cubic metres per year (865 cubic metres per day) all year for compensation discharge to ditch. The applicant has applied for an additional borehole to be added to the licence.
