Anglian Water Services Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application (in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from groundwater at National Grid Reference (NGR):

  • TG 31 36
  • TG 31 35
  • TG 16 41
  • TG 15 41
  • TG 14 42
  • TG 18 42

The variation applied for is to include an additional source at TG 13 42, at rates not to exceed:

  • 23.1 litres per second
  • 2,000 cubic metres per day

The overall daily and annual abstraction from all abstraction points in aggregate will not change. The water will be used for public water supply.
