Details of the application

Ancala Water Services (Estates) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Hampshire Avon catchment.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 21.10 litres per second
  • 76 cubic metres an hour
  • 1,545 cubic metres a day
  • 176,120 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid References (NGRs) SU 13 45 and SU 13 45.

The water will be used for Potable water supply - direct.
