Notice of revision to Approved Document T, 2024 edition

I am writing to inform you of the revision of Approved Document T (Toilet accommodation), 2024 edition to correct minor errors.

Coming into force date

The revisions to the approved document come into force on 3 November 2025.

Section 4: Type B – fully enclosed self-contained universal toilet

Amend Table 4.1 Type B- Fully enclosed self-contained universal toilet to include “Visual contrast between toilet pan seat and sanitary ware against which it is seen” in the Equipment provided.

Section 6: Type D – single-sex toilet cubicle (not self-contained)

Amend Table 6.1 Type D- single-sex toilet cubicle (not self-contained) to include “Visual contrast between toilet pan seat and sanitary ware against which it is seen” in the Equipment provided.
