Details

The purpose of this divisional circular letter is to inform building control bodies in England and Wales about amendments to:

• Approved Document G (Sanitation, hot water safety and water efficiency)
• Approved Documents M volume 1 (Access to and use of buildings: dwellings)

This circular letter and the amendments to the Approved Documents apply in relation to building work carried out in England and also to building work on excepted energy buildings in Wales.

These amendments will come into force on 1 March 2016 in respect of building notices given, full plans deposited or initial notices given on or after that date.
