Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Severn at Terneside Way (A4440), Worcester, at National Grid Reference SO 85210 51641.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 9 cubic metres an hour
  • 72 cubic metres a day
  • 10,800 cubic metres a year

The application is for an all year licence lasting for a period of approximately 2 years.

The water will be used for dust suppression for construction.
