Alleged payment of Home Office funding to the Paedophile Information Exchange

Independent investigation into allegations that, during the 1970s, the Home Office had provided funds to the Paedophile Information Exchange.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

This final report concludes that no evidence was found to support the allegation that the Home Office’s Voluntary Services Unit provided direct funding to PIE.

Evidence of connections between PIE and a number of other organisations were established and 2 of these organisations, Albany Trust and Princedale Trust, received grant funding from VSU; however no evidence was found to indicate that either organisation used this funding to support PIE.
