Alister Jason Borthwick, Jason Matthew Borthwick and Deepdale Farms Limited trading as Deepdale Farms have applied to the Environment Agency to vary a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 7/34/01/*S/0012 which authorises the abstraction of water from an unnamed drain at Deepdale Marsh, Burnham Deepdale, Norfolk at National Grid Reference TF 81022 44407.

The variation applied for is to increase the maximum authorised rates of abstraction as follows:

  • the hourly rate from 110 cubic metres () to 200
  • the daily rate from 2,420 to 4,800
  • the annual rate from 120,000 to 170,000
  • the instantaneous rate from 30.56 litres per second to 55.6 litres per second

The abstraction lies within the North Norfolk Catchment Abstraction Management Strategy reporting area.
