Albanwise Farming Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 2/26/32/189 which authorises the abstraction of water from inland waters known as: Eske, Carr Drain, Holderness Drain and Tributaries at Hall Farm, Manor Farm and Tickton Farm, Nr Beverley at National Grid References (NGRs) TA 076 442 to TA 074 413, TA 067 442 to TA 075 439, TA 075 438 to TA 081 437 and TA 066 427 to TA 073 429.

The variation applied for is to add reaches to the authorised points of abstraction between NGRs: TA 07397 41958 to TA 08812 41995, TA 07389 41344 to TA 06230 41511, TA 07629 44252 to TA 08153 46085, TA 07389 41344 to TA 07849 39458, TA 07100 40386 to TA 07669 40455, and TA 06770 39548 to TA 07786 39916.

The licence allows abstraction for the purpose of spray irrigation at a rate of 109 cubic metres per hour, 1,363 cubic metres per day, and 103,000 cubic metres per year, at an instantaneous rate not exceeding 30.28 litres per second. These quantities will not be altered as part of this variation. The proposed abstraction lies within the Hull and East Riding Catchment Abstraction Management Strategy reporting area.
