Details of the application

Alan Bartlett & Sons (Chatteris) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence 6/33/53/*S/0115 which authorises the abstraction of water from Fenton Lode, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire at National Grid Reference TL 386 855.

The variation applied for is to:

  • Change the purpose from vegetable washing to spray irrigation
  • Change the season from all year to summer (1 April to 30 September)
  • Change to 8 abstraction reaches between the following National Grid References; TL 38445 85225 and TL 38471 85265, TL 38101 85338 and TL 38436 85264, TL 38025 85129 and TL 38045 85177, TL 37865 85597 and TL 37973 85898, TL 37973 85898 and TL 37737 85934, TL 37732 85225 and TL 37717 85181, TL 38060 84052 and TL 38124 84210, TL 38150 84345 and TL 38169 84462.

There will be no increases in the quantities as a result of this application.
