This report continues the series of annual compliance reporting against The Air Quality Standards Regulations (2010) and details progress towards meeting the two targets set in The Environmental Targets (Fine Particulate Matter) (England) Regulations (2023).

This report provides background information on the pollutants covered by these regulations, their sources and effects, the UK’s monitoring networks, and the UK’s modelling methodology. It then summarises the results of the UK’s ambient air quality assessment for 2024, presenting measurements from national air pollution monitoring networks and air quality modelling data.
