AI Adoption Insights agreement

Published 8 June 2026

We are committed to working with government to understand the impact of AI adoption on the economy and workforce, to help support businesses and the workforce to embrace its opportunities. Sharing data and insights from our businesses will help develop government’s understanding of the impact that AI adoption is having on both productivity and workers. This will help ensure the UK can leverage AI adoption to drive economic growth and help the government respond to the impacts of AI adoption and support the workforce.

We commit to sharing aggregated data on AI adoption from our businesses with the government’s AI Economics Institute.  This may include use-cases from our adoption journeys, activities we are undertaking to support our workforce, and information about how we are redesigning business processes to embed AI within our operations. This will allow government, industry and workers to build a shared understanding of the implications of AI adoption.

We recognise that accelerating AI adoption across the UK will require sustained collaboration between industry, government and civil society and this is just a starting point. We commit to reconvene in six months to share and review progress, reflect on what we have learned, and set out the next phase of our shared work.
