The strategy ‘Expertise with Impact’ shows how science is fundamental to everything AHVLA does. It is the basis for the evidence and expert advice that it provides to policy customers.

The document is based around 3 key strategic themes that reflect the main purpose of AHVLA’s scientific work:

  • threat awareness
  • threat definition
  • threat mitigation

It also looks at the following:

  • organisational structure
  • ways of working
  • staff development
  • working with partners
  • maintaining and developing facilities
  • communicating our science
