The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) commissioned Deecon Consulting to undertake this study in December 2025.

The study builds on DSIT’s earlier advanced connectivity technologies (ACT) market scoping analysis, published in June 2025, and provides a fuller assessment of the UK ACT sector.

The study covers:

• a review of DSIT’s ACT definition and taxonomy

• the scale and profile of the ACT companies in the UK

• the economic contribution of ACT sector

• future workforce and skills requirements

• forward-looking market projections
