Details
This guidance was laid in Parliament in draft on 21 July 2016 in line with section 59 of the Immigration Act 2016. It set out the principles and process for making decisions on immigration detention, for the purposes of removal, of individuals who are or may be considered at risk.
The guidance came into force on 12 September 2016.
The revised guidance came into force on 2 July 2018, replacing the previous version. The revised guidance was laid before Parliament in draft on 21 March 2018.
