Adrian Strange and Diana Strange trading as Strange Bros has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from an unnamed drain between National Grid References SZ 81970 98830 and SZ 82140 98830 at Somerley, Chichester.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 84 cubic metres an hour
  • 2,000 cubic metres a day
  • 90,000 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year.

The water will be used to fill a reservoir for the purpose of spray irrigation.
