  1. Published a revised version of the Access to Work holistic assessments provider guidance. Changes have been made to chapters 2, 4, 5 and 7.

  2. The Access to Work holistic assessments provider guidance has been updated and is now published as a single, consolidated document rather than as seven separate documents.

  3. Added new sections on Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) referrals and Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) procedure.

  4. Removed textphone details and added Relay UK details to 'Chapter 2: Target group and eligibility'.

  5. Chapter 1 Introduction and overview of the programme: updated date the upper grant limit for Access to Work Holistic Assessment applies from (paragraph 1.12). Chapter 2 Target group and eligibility, Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) referrals: [1] updated guidance on dealing with MAPPA cases (paragraphs 2.15 to 2.17); [2] removed guidance on Special Customer Record (SCR) Referrals (including MAPPA cases given SCR status). Chapter 5 Provider Referrals and Payment System (PRaP): [1] removed duplicate paragraphs (5.28 and 5.29) and renumbered remaining paragraphs; [2] in paragraph 5.31, clarified when to use option 8 "Other" when completing management information (MI); [3] removed guidance on Special Customer Records. Published updated versions of: Annex A: Holistic assessment referral, Annex B: Standard holistic assessment report, Annex C: Enhanced holistic assessment report and Annex E: Complaint standard wording.

  6. Updated the actions in paragraph 2.17 of Chapter 2 " Target group and eligibility" to remove references to the MAPPAJ form that is no longer in use.

  7. Two bullet points have been added to the list in paragraph 4.06 of chapter 4.

  8. Published new versions of Annex B: Standard holistic assessment report and Annex C: Enhanced holistic assessment report.

[1] Updated Chapter 2 Target group and eligibility: changed the Operations Service Delivery Business Support Team to the Service Delivery Team; added paragraph 2.41 about the closure of the Transitional Employer Support Grant; added paragraphs 2.48 to 2.51 about the closure of the Access to Work Plus pilot; added paragraphs 2.55 to 2.57 about changes to the Enhanced Holistic Assessment Report (Annex C). [2] Updated Chapter 5 Provider Referrals and Payment System (PRaP): added paragraphs 5.15 and 5.16 about what to do if you do not receive a PRaP referral. [3] Updated Chapter 6 Performance Management and Compliance: changed the Operations Service Delivery Business Support Team to the Service Delivery Team. [4] Updated Chapter 7 Complaints and retention of documents: changed the Operations Service Delivery Business Support Team to the Service Delivery Team; added paragraphs 7.08 to 7.12 and 7.14 about Independent Case Examiner complaints; updated paragraph 7.27 about approval for a change to an Access to Work Holistic Assessment Contract; updated paragraph 7.29 about document retention; added new section about Data Protection Legislation and Data Sharing. [5] Replaced Annex C Enhanced holistic assessment report.

  10. Updates in paragraphs 5.06 and 5.27 of Chapter 5

  11. Minor updates made to the AtW HA Provider Guidance to keep guidance up to date with changes in policy and procedures.

  12. Updated Chapter 5 'Provider Referrals and Payment System (PRaP)', paragraphs 5.20 and 5.21, with new guidance on acknowledging and cancelling referrals on PRaP.

  13. Added note to paragraph 2.46 of Chapter 2 'Target group and eligibility' to say that the Access to Work Plus pilot closed on 22 March 2024. Any assessment requests after this date will be for existing Access to Work Plus pilot applicants or participants. When considering the type of assessment, from 22 March 2024, the enhanced face to face assessment for Access to Work Plus will no longer be available. Please do not consider this as part of your assessment determinations.

  14. Replaced Annex B Standard holistic assessment report with updated Word and ODT documents

  15. New versions of Annex B: Access to Work Standard Holistic Assessment Report and Annex C: Access to Work Enhanced Holistic Assessment Report have been added.

  16. Published updated Annex A Holistic assessment referral form.

  17. Updated Chapter 2: Target group and eligibility, to improve readability.

  18. Updated Chapter 2: Target group and eligibility, Chapter 5: Provider Referrals and Payment System (PRaP), Annex B: Standard holistic assessment report (ODT and Word) and Annex C: Enhanced holistic assessment report (ODT and Word).

  19. Updated Access to Work holistic assessments provider guidance for contracts effective on or after 5 June 2023, Chapter 6: Performance Management and Compliance.

  20. Updated Chapter 2: Target group and eligibility, Chapter 5: Provider Referrals and Payment System (PRaP) and also Chapter 7: Complaints and retention of documents.
