Details

All academies established by the Secretary of State enter into a contract – the funding agreement – with a charitable company, which is often referred to as the academy trust.

The funding agreement provides the framework within which the academy must operate, and a draft model funding agreement for heads and governors is now available.

These mainstream documents can be used by sponsored academies and converter academies.

Annex B contains requirements for the admission of pupils to the academy.

Annex C contains duties in relation to pupils with special educational needs.
