Work commissioned to help the Environment Agency form an objective view of the current environmental performance of the UK refinery sector. The study has sought to identify significant issues that could affect the industry’s environmental performance. Emissions, process options and abatement practices from a number of countries were investigated and worldwide best practice considered in the context of applicability to the UK situation.
