Brian Edward Wrout, Rosemany Ann Wrout and Michael Edward Wrout, trading as A E Wrout and Son have applied to the Environment Agency to vary a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application (in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 9/40/06/0030/SR, which authorises the abstraction of water from private ditches, watercourses and petty sewers at Lydd, Kent.

The variation applied for is:

  • To extend the abstraction period to authorise abstraction during the month of September
  • To increase the authorised annual quanity from 13,747 cubic metres to 16,747 cubic metres
  • That any abstraction in the month of September, and any abstraction in excess of 13,747 cubic metres per year, must come from the White Kemp Sewer between National Grid References (NGR) TR 03919 24103 and TR 03183 22580
