Details

In the Regulation Action Plan, the government committed to cutting the annual administrative burden of regulation by 25% by the end of Parliament. The July 2026 update reported £2.0 billion in net annual administrative savings delivered or identified for businesses.

This supplementary document provides further information on newly identified measures expected to generate additional gross annual administrative savings. It sets out the data sources and methodology used to estimate these savings, standardised on a like-for-like basis with the approach set out in the July 2026 technical annex.
