Advisory Committee on Novel Foods and Processes - Subcommittee on Cell Cultivated Products Destined for Food and Feed Purposes.

The 6th meeting of the ACNFP-CCP will be held at 10:00am on the 22nd of July on Microsoft Teams (online & dial in); it is expected to end at 16:30 pm.

Members are reminded of the need to announce any commercial interests in the business of the Committee prior to the discussions on each item.

In accordance with agreed procedures, the Secretariat is duty bound to keep a record of the names of Members who have declared interests at meetings of the Committee, giving dates, names of relevant products and companies, details of the interest declared, and whether the Member took part in the proceedings.

  4. Suitability checks, proportionality and review of hazards - the Subcommittee will discuss - Subgroup to discuss what are the essential criteria for FSA to assess at suitability check stage and to discuss hazards in Food Safety Aspects of Cell-based Food to determine if appropriate. ACNFP-CCP/06/03 and ACNFP-CCP/06/04
  5. Open forum for additional topics - Open floor opportunity for the Subgroup to raise discussion points.
  6. Establishing the identity of CCPs as foods - Subgroup to discuss the information required within application to establish the identity of CCPs as food. ACNFP-CCP/06/05
  7. Cell mixtures, scaffolds and exposure assessment - Subgroup to discuss the identity of products containing multiple cell types or products that retain an edible scaffold.
  8. Futureproofing and hazard identification - Subgroup to consider additional factors and potential hazards that the FSA should consider.
