We have a received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following: 

1) How many mobile phones including smartphones, laptop computers and USB memory sticks have been issued to a) ministers and b) special advisers in Home Office since 12 May 2010?

2) How many mobile phones including smartphones, laptop computers and USB memory sticks issued to a) ministers and b) special advisers in Home Office have been reported as i) broken; ii) lost; iii) stolen since 12 May 2010?

3) What was the total cost to the public purse of all repairs made and replacements issued to a) ministers and b) special advisers in Home Office, in respect of mobile phones including smartphones, laptop computers and USB memory sticks reported as broken, lost or stolen?

 

We released the following information on 28 November 2011

1) Since 12th May 2010, the following have been issued:

Ministers - 3 Blackberrys and 1 mobile were issued. No laptops or memory sticks were issued.
Special Advisers - 2 Blackberrys and 1 laptop. No memory sticks issued.

2) There are no recorded incidents of any laptops, Blackberries or USB memory sticks being either lost, stolen or broken by Ministers or Special Advisers since 12th May 2010.

3) Zero. No repairs were made or replacements issued.
