We have a received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:
- The total expenditure on bonus payments to Home Office staff annually over the last five years a) in total b) per head.
- The proportion of total remuneration (pay and bonus) these payments represented annually over the last five years.
We released the following information on 14 October 2011
This response comprises information from Home Office Headquarters and the executive agencies of the Home Office, the UK Border Agency, the Criminal Records Bureau and the Identity and Passport Service.
- The Data
In the various parts of the Home Office, one individual may receive a payment under one or more schemes. The figures below will include instances where staff have received more than one payment and as such, we are unable to provide figures per head.
The below figures relate to staff in post at the end of each financial year (i.e. headcount) across HO HQ, the UKBA, the IPS and the CRB. They are for illustrative purposes only and, for the reasons set out above, should not be used to determine the percentage of staff in receipt of performance related payments.
