Baroness Anderson of Stoke-on-Trent was appointed Baroness in Waiting (Government Whip) on 11 July 2024. She was appointed as Parliamentary Secretary in the Cabinet Office on 3 March 2026.
Parliamentary Secretary
The Parliamentary Secretary is responsible for supporting the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister and the Minister for the Cabinet Office on coordination and delivery of cross-government priorities.
In particular, the Minister’s responsibilities are to support the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister and the Minister for the Cabinet Office on:
- Constitution and House of Lords reform
- Propriety and ethics
- Correspondence
- Lords Business
