Lord Dunlop

Biography

Andrew Dunlop served as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Northern Ireland Office from 17 July 2016 to 14 June 2017. He also served as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Scotland Office from 14 May 2015 to 14 June 2017.

Education

Andrew earned BA and MA degrees in Political Science and Government from Edinburgh University.

Political career

In 2012 Andrew became the Prime Minister’s principal adviser within Downing Street on devolved constitutional issues. Earlier in his career he was the head of policy and research for the Scottish Conservative Party, special adviser to the Defence Secretary and a member of the Downing Street Policy Unit.

Career outside politics

Andrew founded and ran his own communications business for over 20 years.

Personal Life

Andrew is married and has three daughters.
