Procurement at RWM

Tendering for contracts and transparency

To comply with government regulations, we use an approach based on the value of the contract, and whether a public-sector contract already exists that can be used:

We use 3 systems to advertise and to manage our contracts:

  1. Framework Contracts awarded by Crown Commercial Services or other procurement hubs for utilisation by the wider public sector Government Procurement Service website

  2. New procurement opportunities with a cumulative value of over £25,000 Contracts Finder website

  3. New higher-value procurement opportunities with a cumulative total over the current EU threshold Find a Tender

All public-sector procurements are subject to European Commission (EC) Treaty principles of non-discrimination, equal treatment and transparency.

RWM will publish all contract awards over £25,000 on Contracts Finder website

Commercial pipelines provide a forward look of potential commercial activity within a department. The information presented is for reference only and reflects the Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) anticipated procurement pipeline.

RWM makes no commitment that:

  • the requirements identified in this table will be procured
  • the value of any contract will be as stated
  • the timing of any future procurement exercises will be as stated

The sourcing route for any subsequent procurement has not been determined, for example it could be via frameworks managed by Crown Commercial Services (CCS) or open competitions.

RWM cannot guarantee that these opportunities will be available to all suppliers.
