We publish information on how much energy our headquarters uses to make our operations and spending more transparent.
We publish energy use data for our headquarters building – Caxton House. It is a modern, air-conditioned building in Tothill Street, London, SW1H 9NA.
We also publish our energy use data in a reusable format.
DWP won the Number 10 Greener Government Competition with a 22% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions at Caxton House between September and October 2010.

Our annual sustainability reports have more information about our use of energy and other resources.
DWP is accredited with the Carbon Trust Standard for all its operations. We have also worked with the Carbon Trust to create a carbon management plan that explains how we will reduce emissions by a further 25% on 2009 to 2010 levels by 2014 to 2015.
