Secretary of State for Wales Cheryl Gillan today wished Cardiff City team good luck as they set off for Wembley in the hope of securing a place in the Premiership next season.
Cardiff born Mrs Gillan said: “I would like to send my best wishes to Dave Jones and all the Cardiff City football team for their Play-Off final against Blackpool at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
“I am very pleased that the Bluebirds have done so well this season, and it is to their credit that they are only 90 minutes away from the Premier League. I sincerely hope that come tomorrow, Cardiff will be the first Welsh team to make it to the Premier League.”
