Welcome Back to Guatemalan Chevening Scholar 2024–2025

The British Embassy in Guatemala welcomed back Anelisse Reyes, the Guatemalan Chevening Scholar who successfully completed a Master’s in Strategic Communication at Loughborough University during the 2024–2025 academic year.

To mark her return, the Embassy hosted a gathering with members of the Guatemalan Chevening alumni community. The event offered an opportunity to reconnect, share experiences, and welcome Anelisse back into the network of Chevening graduates who continue contributing to Guatemala’s development across diverse sectors.

As part of the programme, the alumni participated in a conversation led by Eduardo Núñez, Costa Rican political scientist and independent researcher. The discussion centred on global geopolitical dynamics, democratic governance, regional challenges, and the current landscape of bilateral relations. His participation fostered an open and valuable exchange of ideas among attendees.

The British Embassy congratulates Anelisse on her successful year of study in the United Kingdom and celebrates her commitment to applying her knowledge and skills for the benefit of Guatemala. The Embassy also encourages Guatemalan professionals to apply for the Chevening Scholarship, a unique opportunity to pursue a fully funded master’s degree in the UK and join a global network of more than 55,000 leaders worldwide.

If interested, you can apply for the program and sign up for alerts by visiting Chevening.
