Weekly summary of planned roadworks in Devon and Cornwall for Monday 23 February 2014 – Sunday 1 March 2014
The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of 20 February but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.
A30 Whiddon Down – Drainage works
24hr westbound lane closure and 50mph speed limit (18 Jan – 6 March)
A38 Manadon, Plymouth – Junction improvement
24hr eastbound narrow lanes and 50mph speed limit. 24hr westbound narrow lanes and 50mph limit. 24hr westbound entry sliproad closure. Diversion via St Budeaux (6 Jan – 12 March)
A38 Dry Bridge, nr South Brent – New bridge scheme
24hr eastbound exit sliproad closure. Access for residents only. Diversion via Dart Bridge. (30 Oct 14 – 23 April 15) 24 hr narrow lanes and 40mph limit on main carriageway (10 Nov 14 – 23 April 15)

24hr contraflow and 50mph speed limit. Splatford entry sliproad closed. Diversion via southbound A38, A380 and minor road past Exeter racecourse to rejoin A38 northbound. A30 Innis Downs, nr Bodmin – Drainage works

The Highways Agency is working with the industry and road users to reduce the risks of working on the roads. For the safety of road workers and all road users, when you are approaching roadworks:
- Keep within the speed limit – it is there for your safety.
- Get into the correct lane in good time – don’t keep switching.
- Concentrate on the road ahead, not the roadworks.
- Be alert for works’ traffic leaving or entering roadworks.
- Keep a safe distance – there could be queues in front.
- Observe all signs – they are there to help you.
