Weekend closures of A249 Sheppey Crossing in Kent

The A249 Sheppey Crossing will be closed for essential resurfacing work on weekends in April and May 2015.

The A249 Sheppey Crossing will be closed for essential work as follows:-

  • Friday 24 to Sunday 26 April - Northbound carriageway
  • Friday 8 to Sunday 10 May - Northbound carriageway
  • Friday 15 to Sunday 17 May - Southbound carriageway
  • Friday 29 to Sunday 31 May - Southbound carriageway

All closures will take place between 8pm on Friday and 11am on Sunday when traffic flow is at its lowest. All closures will be signed two weeks’ in advance using black and yellow signs but are subject to weather and traffic conditions.
