Care Services Minister Paul Burstow announced that 74 charities will get a share of more than £6.8 million to test and develop innovative approaches to improve health, as part of the he 2012-13 Innovation, Excellence and Strategic Development Fund (IESD) Scheme.

(Update 19 July 2012) The funding round for the 2013-14 IESD Scheme is now open for applications. The deadline for registration is noon 7 September 2012 and the deadline for submitting applications is 21 September 2012.
